4 Ways to Get Good Results from Facial Hair Removal Products
Face it – facial hair is a problem for everyone. It is a bigger deal for some than others though. No matter who you are though, you tweeze at least one hair regularly. It is just a fact of life.
If you are like me, then plucking makes you crazy. I cannot even see the mirror through the tears in my eyes! But I’m intimidated by facial hair creams. All I got in high school from using them was a red blister on my upper lip. My girlstache would have been preferable to that…
Luckily hair removal treatments have progressed since high school. They used to be terribly smelling and full of harsh chemicals. Now using one is kind of like an aromatherapy treatment. Of course, you still need to be careful.
Make sure that you get good facial hair removal results by using these tips:
1. Do a test first. Put the cream on your wrist before smearing it on your face. If you feel a burning feeling on your skin or you get a rash then you will know that you should not use it on your face. Just a tiny dab should let you know whether the cream will work for you.
2. Look for herbal components. To “melt” hair away, you need chemicals. But herbal extracts can help your skin recover from this exposure. Heavy moisturizers and natural ingredients tend to make the facial hair removal process go more smoothly.
3. Go for the fragrance. You probably remember the stinky stuff that you could use to remove hair on your legs. That smell was definitely chemically based. Today’s creams contain ingredients to mask or eliminate these smells. This can save you from allergic reactions. Unless you cannot handle any artificial fragrance at all, your nose will thank you for the improved aroma.
4. Work in sections on your face. Once you use the cream on your face, go slowly. Get started with the eyebrow area. It is less sensitive than the upper lip area. If you have no trouble with your brows, then move on to the lip or chin area.
